Audiovisual Stream

Shahed D. (he) is the Audiovisual Digitization and Preservation Manager, and holds a graduate degree from New York University.

Willow G. (she/they) is the Audiovisual Digitization and Preservation Assistant. Their interest in access, community building, and approachable education led them to digitization and memory work. They have a Master of Library and Information Science degree from San José State University. Willow also contributes to California Revealed by creating graphic design as well as educational and promotional videos. 

Print Stream

Liz S. (she) is the Print Digitization and Preservation Manager. She holds a Master of Science in Information Studies degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Liz is passionate about creating accessible, user-centered resources that repair historic inequities within archives and special collections. In addition to her work in digitization, Liz has experience in the curation and production of exhibits for archives and special collections, as well as in archival processing and digital humanities.  

StarRose K-L. (she) is the Print Digitization and Preservation Assistant. She will be completing her Master of Library and Information Science degree with a concentration in archival studies at San José State University in 2023 and has prior experience in digital resources and metadata. StarRose is excited to continue the pursuit of accessibility through digitization at California Revealed and finds great joy in discovering the rich history of California through its archives. 

Digital Stream and Repository

Megan L. (she) is the Digital Preservation Manager and Repository Manager. She holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree from San José State University. She has held several positions within California Revealed since early 2018. Megan currently manages the programs for existing digital collections and repository development and is passionate about building systems that enable users to describe, and find, resources in ways that make sense to them.  

Natalie M. (she) is the Digital Preservation Assistant, and holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree from San José State University. 

Outreach

Guadalupe M. (they/she) is the Outreach Coordinator. Guadalupe has embraced roles in youth programming, community organizing, and public libraries. In 2022, they completed their Master of Library and Information Science degree at San José State University and became BAVC Media's inaugural Preservation Fellow, learning hands-on digitization and digital preservation skills for magnetic media. Their present role bridges together their professional experience and passion toward community-focused archives and encourages people to assert their place in California history. 

Director

Pamela V. (she) has been the project coordinator of California Revealed since its inception in 2010, and became the Director in early 2019. She most enjoys working with partner organizations at regional workshops, meeting people and their collections on the ground, and offering guidance and encouragement for long-term collections care. She has a Master of Arts in Moving Image Archiving and Preservation from New York University. She is also a core member of the Community Archiving Workshop and serves on the board of the Center for Home Movies.
