The Yolo County Archives, founded in 1985, is the official repository for Yolo County records. The collection contains records dating from the 1850s to the present from various Yolo County agencies/departments as well as family collections from community members and local businesses. The materials include maps, blueprints, photographs, bound volumes, manuscripts, newspapers, yearbooks, and secondary sources in the form of published books and articles.
The Yolo County Archives' digital collection at California Revealed consists of texts, moving image, and audio recordings from the 1850s to the 2000s. The collection includes oral history recordings of residents and experts on local history, recordings of Yolo County Board of Supervisors meetings, and extensive runs of local newspapers like Knight's Landing News and The Woodland News.
