Comprising the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park and the Legion of Honor in Lincoln Park, we are the largest public arts institution in the City of San Francisco and one of the largest art museums in the United States.
The Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco's digital collection at California Revealed consists of text materials from the 1890s and 1900s. The collection includes a scrapbook with various newspaper clippings documenting the opening days of the M.H. de Young Memorial Museum in 1895 and its early practices.
