Collection Description

The mission of the Historical Society and Museum of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection is to identify, collect, preserve, document, exhibit, and interpret material evidence and information of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

The Cal Fire Museum’s digital collection at California Revealed consists of moving images from the 1950s to the 1980s. These include training films, fire prevention public service announcements, recruitment films, and other works documenting the evolution of fire management in a changing landscape.
