The Archives of the Archdiocese of San Francisco collects, preserves, and makes available records of enduring value which pertain to the growth, development, and governance of the Archdiocese and its institutions, and to the Catholic faith experience in the counties of Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo.

The Archives of the Archdiocese of San Francisco’s digital collection at California Revealed consists of moving image and audio recordings. Complete episodes of I Believe, a local television program hosted by Father Miles Riley, founding director of the Archdiocese of San Francisco’s Communication Center, feature interviews with prominent cultural figures like Maya Angelou, George Moscone, Willie Brown, Allen Ginsberg, Eldridge Cleaver, and Jerry Garcia.
