The Lemon Grove Historical Society (LGHS) preserves, documents and shares the history of Lemon Grove, California. The Society’s mission is to research, preserve and share the history of Lemon Grove in a regional/state/national context, to promote interest in the arts and humanities, especially historical studies, and to operate sites and public programs that advance these goals. We do this by managing a local archive collection, preserving and managing the use of two historic buildings, operating a museum, and advocating for local historic preservation and education. The LGHS has an important track record in historic preservation, in promoting and displaying the work of regional artists, and in providing insight into huge world events and their impact on the home town. The LGHS motto is “your story begins at home.”
The Lemon Grove Historical Society's digital collection at California Revealed consists of texts from the 1940s to the 1990s. These texts include issues of the Lemon Grove Review newspapers documenting life in Lemon Grove and it's surrounding communities.
