This Record contains criminal cases brought before Judge Joseph Barcroft, Third Township, Madera County, California. Joseph Barcroft was elected Justice of the Peace in November, 1902 and took the Oath of Office on January 5, 1903 for a term of four years. Located in the Courthouse, four-fifths of of all the cases in the County would come before Judge Barcroft and his Court.
