Mrs. Bell came to Independence in 1915 and taught at the Milton School at Fort Independence. In this interview, she talks about the family grist mill on Oak Creek, a lumber mill in Big Pine, the founding of the Eastern California Museum Association (ECMA), working at the ECMA from 1952-1962, Indian students, winds, Doctor Woodin, and various other topics of local importance.
