Michael Heisley, Curator of Folklore at the Southwest Museum, conducted interviews with Chicano artists and poets active in Southern California and Mexico during the 1980s. These include the Celebracion de las Artes Mexicanas symposium in 1987 and the Chicano Poetry in California symposium held at the Southwest Museum on Oct. 21, 22, 1989.
