The historical quarterly was established in 1955 and until 2008 put out 4 issues a year. The quarterly is a wealth of information for the larger Ventura County region, covering the original Chumash inhabitants through the present. It includes first person narratives and recollections of both important and everyday figures, including those that are responsible for the early economic growth of the area and the creation of the county.
