Both sides: How and why the American Indian Movement (AIM) was formed in Minneapolis, MN. First speaker talks about the issues within his community which prompted the creation of an organization which would benefit them, unlike the U.S. government and/or Christian organizations that don't have their best interest in mind. Created and adult education program to help minimize further exploitation by the traders who come to the reservation, their legal rights, and so on. Education to preserve their culture. Discussion is recorded in a conference type setting and some of the audio is low or inaudible.
