Description
The CSUMB Oral History and Community Memory Archive contains oral history interviews conducted between 1995-2014 that relate to our local communities and the University. For decades, Fort Ord army base was the center of the community in Marina and Seaside, California, but in 1991 the base was closed, and a few years later converted to California State University, Monterey Bay. This interview is part of the Chicano Veterans of Fort Ord project, and it includes audio interviews with Chicanos who were stationed or trained at Fort Ord and served in Vietnam and other conflicts.
